Roy A. Fredericks founded Avant Garde in 1983 in Austin Texas. Since then both Austin and Avant have had phenomenon growth.

After 20 years of working behind the chair as a top innovative stylist, Roy A Fredericks devoted last decade to growing his company and developing talent around him.

1999 Fredericks was a Keynote speaker at "Serious Business" where he presented two technology-based seminars, "One to One Marketing" and "Network to Network Future.'

In October 1999 the Avant Garde Team was guest at "American Excellence" where they brought the audience to their feet for a standing ovation.

As a guest speaker at the MidWest show in Chicago in 2000 Fredericks presented a workshop on "Technology and the Tribe" which focused on building a network.

In 2003 Fredericks hosted "The Learning Lounge" with Robert Cromean of Paul Mitchell.

Serious Business asked Fredericks back in 2001, 2003 and 2004 as a speaker covering topics in the context of "The Butterfly FX". "Small changes create large effects". 

In 2004 Roy A Fredericks was invited to be part of the founding team of Aveda Business College (ABC). ABC has since developed a program entitled "Benchmarking for Success".  In September 2004 Roy was MC for MasterJam in Atlanta, GA.

Roy  finished 2005 as a guest speaker presenting "Benchmarking for Success" at Aveda Congress in October 2005, in Minneapolis.

Currently, Roy is focusing on opening a new salon in East End, called Avant EDGband on on the ButterflyFX™ coaching process. Key benchmarks that create huge differences. Roy is currently expanding this thought to a book ("ButterflyFX: for life, love and business"), an educational event (Neill Quality Colege), and a Digital Coaching Program.
